The Beginning: From Listener to Dreamer

It all began with listening. I was just a regular guy who loved Algerian music, especially the kind that had a remix touch. I spent countless hours listening to legendary Raï artists like Cheb Hasni, Cheb Abdelhak, Cheb Bilal, Cheb Zahouani, Cheb Djalal, Cheba Zahouania, Cheb Khaled. I was also deeply drawn to Gasba music, especially the works of Cheikh Krimo, Cheikha Zalamit, Cheikha Rimiti, Cheikha Djienia, Cheikh Mokhtar Saidi, Cheikh Djilali Tiarti and many others.

What fascinated me most was how DJs added modern rhythms to these classic songs. Between 2005 and 2010, I was captivated by remixes from DJs like DJ FMS, and in Raï, I was especially inspired by DJ Nassim, known as Just The New. I kept asking myself: "How do they make these beats? Could I ever do the same?"

The First Step: Trying Despite the Challenges

I decided to give it a shot, even though I had no musical background or formal training. I didn't learn from anyone—I had no mentor, no lessons. What I did have was curiosity and a deep desire to create. I started experimenting with Studio One, then moved to Virtual DJ, and finally settled on FL Studio in 2009, which became my main tool and creative partner.

What made my journey unique is that I worked without any DJ equipment. No mixer, no controller, no professional headphones—just a computer and a dream. It was a tough challenge, but it taught me that creativity doesn't depend on tools. It comes from within.

Learning Through Passion

In the beginning, my results were simple. But I didn't give up. I learned through trial and error, through listening and feeling the rhythm. Slowly, I discovered that I had a real talent. I didn't need formal education—my passion was my teacher.

I spent long hours remixing songs, testing different beats, and searching for the perfect balance between tradition and modernity. I wanted to preserve the soul of each song while adding my own flavor.

Today, I don't use other people's beats. I create my own. Every rhythm I produce is crafted specifically for the song I'm working on. I don't feel satisfied using pre-made loops or copying others. I believe true art is personal and unique.

I remix genres like Raï, Raï Abassi, Gasba, Berwali Remix, Chaoui Remix, Gasba Gharb, Kabyle Rythme, and many more traditional styles sung across Algeria.

These genres are rich, diverse, and technically challenging. But they fuel my creativity. I love reviving forgotten melodies and presenting them in a fresh, modern way.
